Modern living increasingly takes us away from awareness of our breath; attention is constantly being drawn away from how we breathe, leaving us with a sense of disconnect. As an antidote to this, more and more people are turning to the ancient yogic practices of pranayama, due to their focus on balancing and calming the nervous system. 

During this 6 week course, we will explore how stress and other external factors affect our breathing patterns, making them less efficient, and lacking in depth. Our breath holds the key to many benefits for physical, mental and emotional health, and tapping into it can be a powerful tool in developing awareness of the state of our mind and body. We'll learn several techniques which will help to restore healthy connection to your breath.

Controlling the breath also enables us to more easily find a meditative state, turning our focus inwards. Over the six weeks, we'll start to build a meditation practice. I'll introduce you to a few different techniques which by the end of the course, should leave you confident to continue your own practice. Whether you are consciously exploring pranayama and meditation to expand your spiritual experience, or just to find deeper relaxation, the benefits are there for anyone who wants to find them.

This course is available either as a private, one-to-one experience via Zoom or in-person. Alternatively, I can accommodate small groups via Zoom or in-person (price subject to location and venue hire).
