‘Journey to Rest’ is all about delving into a pure sense of ease and relaxation. Combining the healing of Reiki with Yoga Nidra you will leave this session feeling peaceful, well rested and at one in Body and Mind.
This practice will begin with some gentle somatic & soothing movements to help the physical body to unwind, release held tensions and feel prepared to come into a rested state. We will then begin a Yoga Nidra practice ( Yogic Sleep ) Yoga Nidra is a form of deep rest with out the need for physical sleep, it is in a way, a form of guided mediation for effortless relaxation.
Yoga Nidra brings together the unconscious and conscious aspects of the mind, drawing us to a state of deep blissful awareness, we surf between wake and sleep landing the body into a state of homeostasis ( the bodies base level of natural equilibrium)
During Yoga Nidra Annabel will be coming round to give Reiki to each and every person, to allow her enough time on each person, the spaces for this event are limited, keeping the group small and intimate. Reiki is a Japanese technique which brings calmness, relaxation and helps to reduce stress. It is powerful in enhancing your body’s natural healing ability.
Reiki uses the universal energy, Annabel will use her hands to act as a channel to transfer the energy to your chakras to help balance them and bring a sense of total wellbeing and healing.
During a Reiki treatment you may feel;
-Warmth in certain areas of your body that energy is being transferred to.
-You may also feel tingling sensations.
-You may see colours or visualise objects and people.
All of this is completely fine and normal, it’s just your bodies way of telling you the energy is flowing. It is also perfectly normal to not feel any sensations, the energy will still be flowing and at the end of your treatment you will feel very calm and relaxed. For this session.
We will focus on the Root Chakra for grounding and feeling safe, the Heart Chakra for unconditional self-love and the Third Eye Chakra for insight and wisdom. These chakras together will bring a wonderful sense of calmness to you, body and mind.
